Update:
Defending Country has followed the progress of Culture is Life's work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people (June 2024, July 2024). Culture is Life's final report for 2024 included these important items:
The Australian Wars social impact strategy (partnership with Rachel Perkins, Blackfella Films, SBS, Shark Island Institute, and Documentary Australia) continued into its second year with a National Reconciliation Week campaign. The campaign’s impact was commanding, achieving 658 000 video plays, 505 000 impressions and 281 500 accounts reached.
Over 1000 educators were reached directly through The Australian Wars webinar (partnership with Narragunnawali), conferences from the History Teachers Association of Victoria, the History Teachers Association of Australia and the AIS NSW Wingara.
In addition, Culture is Life was again selected as the education partner and writer for the 2024 National NAIDOC resources (partnership with National NAIDOC Committee and ABC Education). These resources were the ABC's highest downloaded resources yet.

Defending Country has been promoting the use of the term 'The Australian Wars' to apply to conflict on Country between First Nations people and settlers, police and military. Australia's Overseas Wars, on the other hand, is an appropriate term for the wars where Australians in uniform have been sent overseas.
