Death of Emeritus Professor Lyndall Ryan

Emeritus Professor Lyndall Ryan AM FAHA died yesterday aged 81 after a long illness. Defending Country recognises Professor Ryan's pioneering work in the history of the Australian frontier, most recently with University of Newcastle colleagues in mapping massacres.
